The Battle of Britain Airfields Tour can be purchased as either a 30 minute or 60 minute flight and passes various historic aviation sites in Surrey, Sussex and Kent. This page describes the 60 minute flight.

You’ll depart Redhill – a Battle of Britain Reserve airfield – then route west towards Dorking past Headley Court, an injured pilot/aircrew recovery centre. It is now a golf course with a “bunker” shaped as a Spitfire!

Turning east, you will pass Kenley and Biggin Hill, two of the most famous fighter stations during the Battle of Britain.

With the one hour option, you will then continue towards Gravesend, another fighter station but long gone, onwards towards Eastchurch fighter airfield and then Detling, some of which is visible, but also has a modern navigation aid sited there. Next on the route is West Malling, once a busy wartime airfield and now the new village of Kings Hill.

We will then complete the tour by flying past Winston Churchill’s House at Chartwell before return to Redhill.
